AWARD OBJECTIVE
To recognise excellence in network radio station promotions that make the most effective and creative use of radio and/or your other platforms.

AWARDS DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an idea or concept that generates significant audience engagement and delivers results. This promotion may utilise several media and the range of platforms that your radio brand uses.

Note - This award is for network station self promotion, not client campaigns.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

AUDIO
Maximum 5 minutes, which must contain audio elements of the promotion idea including trailers, adlibs, execution elements and audience participation and interaction.

WRITTEN DEMONSTRATION
Written material (maximum 200 words) must include details of the idea or campaign, including objectives, background and context of the concept, plus any supporting print material or digital components. Click here to download the written submission template for this award.

NOTE - Video uploads will be allowed for this category. Duration is to be no longer than 5 minutes. Video needs to relate directly to the station promotion at the time it was aired. This could be in the form of any TV coverage, footage loaded on to You Tube, evidence of street activation etc. It is NOT to be filmed specifically for your radio awards entry. Edited highlights videos can be created for your radio award entry, but any filmed footage included in them must be from the original and not re-created.

BEST SINGLE MARKET STATION PROMOTION

AWARD OBJECTIVE
To recognise excellence in radio station promotions at a local or regional level that make the most effective and creative use of radio and/or your other platforms.

AWARD DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an idea or concept that generates significant audience engagement and delivers results. This promotion may utilise several media and the range of platforms that your radio brand uses. If the promotion was also part of a National Promotion all elements of this entry must be for the local promotion.

NOTE - This award is for station self promotion, not client campaigns.

To recognise excellence in radio promotions for clients that make the most effective and creative use of radio and/or your other platforms running across a network.

AWARD DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an idea or concept that generates significant audience engagement and delivers results for a client. This campaign may utilise several media and the range of platforms that your radio brand uses.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

AUDIO
Maximum 5 minutes, which must contain audio elements of the promotion idea including trailers, adlibs, execution elements and audience participation and interaction.

WRITTEN DEMONSTRATION

A letter of support from the client MUST also be included outlining the objectives and outcomes of the promotion. Failure to provide this evidence will automatically disqualify the entry. Evidence of results is mandatory. These must be directly attributable to this campaign and must relate to the objectives set. We are looking for hard business measures such as sales, leads, website visits, increased revenue or market share. Anecdotal evidence or indirectly attributable results will be marked down. No pro-bono work will be accepted.

BEST DIGITAL AND SOCIAL CONTENT

AWARD OBJECTIVE

  • To recognise excellence in the creation of digital and social content supporting a NZ radio station, network or show.
  • To recognize excellence as demonstrated through compelling content and design, innovation and overall effectiveness.

AWARD DESCRIPTION
This award is made to the entry which best supports and enhances the core programming and services of a NZ radio station or network through the use of web and social content. Nominated entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges and the winning entry will be that which achieves the highest overall rating.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

WRITTEN DEMONSTRATION
A written submission of no more than 200 words outlining the strategic role and objectives of the entry in supporting the network or station. Click here to download the written submission template for this award.
Entry details must include screen grabs of the nominated web and/or social content that form part of the entry.
Nielsen Online statistics including unique browsers and page impressions achieved by the content. Additional statistics for other channels and social platforms must include reach and engagement on each post along with NZ follower’s data. For web, NZ site visit figures can be submitted with the entry.

JUDGING CRITERIA

A - 20 POINTS | CONTENT
The value, usefulness, originality and quality of content directly linked to brand essence and target market. Content should be engaging, relevant, and appropriate for the audience. It should encourage users to return. There should be attention to detail, and simple processes for user interactivity.

B - 10 POINTS | DESIGN
Including graphic design aesthetics and the overall appearance of the entry. Visual design will be high quality, user friendly, appropriate and relevant for the audience and the brand it is supporting.

C - 20 POINTS | AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT & EFFECTIVENESS
Focuses on the ability of the user to actively participate. Simple options and processes to maximise user engagement.
Web unique browsers and page impressions plus the overall effectiveness will be measured by traffic and statistics supplied by Nielsen Online. Social and other channels will be based on reach and engagement rates.
